In 2014, Meskent Group initiated operations at a crude oil refinery in Erbil, Iraq, with a processing capacity of 7,000 barrels of crude oil per day. This facility specializes in converting crude oil into various products, including naphtha, diesel, lubricating oil, and fuel oil.

The treatment section of the refinery commenced in 2020, employing an Alfa Leval centrifuge to refine and recover crude oil sludge. This innovative process effectively separates water, salt, and sediment from the crude oil, producing high-quality materials for refineries.

The project has been executed across seven lines with a daily capacity of 1,500 tons. In an effort to support environmental sustainability, the water generated from this treatment process is sent to a reverse osmosis unit, which can purify 200 tons of contaminated water daily for agricultural use.

Additionally, Meskent Group is actively involved in the trading of products such as fuel oil, naphtha, and diesel, contributing to energy supply globally. Our commitment to quality and sustainability drives our operations in the oil and gas sector.

Meskant Group commenced its construction activities by participating in the Erbil Steel melting project. Erbil Steel, with a production capacity of 240,000 rebar annually, stands as the most prominent investment in the heavy industry sector in its region. The company produces deformed steel bars for use in the construction sector.
